THE STIENE PARISH sold the building in 1983 to the Freehold Community Association Charity (FCA) to run as a community centre for the local area of benefit. After having to close it doors in 2003 due to lack of revenue and spiraling structural costs, The FCA was successfully awarded a £100,000 regeneration grant from South East Arts to renovate and revitalise the Centre. The modern day Holme Community Venue can now provide a variety of community functions, from public performances and meetings to private clubs and events. |
